***14 days and counting***. Feeling ready and peaceful about the impending birth of baby Neaton. I really can't wait to meet her and have been having many internal conversations with her...I think in hopes that we will work together during this birth! Those that know me well realize that I don't probably worry about enough things, but I truly do feel ready. I"m not worried about labor, delivery, nursing, bringing her home, etc...just really excited to see her, hold her, love her!
In just the last couple of days, I have seemed to find this peace and am letting go of the thought that all this stuff / everything needs to be done before she makes her arrival. It is unrealistic to say the least...there will always be projects, etc that need to be done around here. And how much do they really need when so little? She is not going to care that I still don't have the garden weeded.
I'm feeling tired and haven't slept well or enough in months...good prep for middle of the night feedings?!? I'm even looking forward to those middle of the night times that will be just for us...seems a little crazy, I know!
Baby Christensen was born yesterday. Congrats to Aaron, Abby and big brother Avery! Asher Allen is just adorable and makes me want to meet our little one even more. The Lord is just amazing!! This little baby comes into this world seeming so helpless and so resilient all at the same time. They need so much but they add so much all at the same! I couldn't imagine our lives without these little ones being a part of it all.

Oh...where does the time go?? There are so many things in the works that I'm just not sure how to do it all and how I'm going to do it all well. Getting ready for this little girl to join us...can't wait! She is such a blessing to our family and will be a wonderful addition to our home. I'm looking forward to an excuse to just sit and enjoy my children...there are only so many things you can do while nursing after all!

We had a wonderful, busy weekend with friends and family and really looking forward to the almost no plans weekend to come. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! God bless - Holly

Joe has been busy, busy with work. We seem to pick up odd jobs sometimes that don't really fall into our normal realm of business. This week they worked on building a firepit and sitting area for a client of ours and it is looking really good. It would look really good here in our backyard, too!! There is always the usual things like fence installation going on to.

Charlie and I are currently having a little power struggle...she seems to think she is the boss! Partly my fault for not following through with discipline and for letting some things slide and partly her just being 2. It's almost funny how stubborn she can be. We have made a new rule - all eating - snacks and meals are done at the table with her strapped into her booster seat. Sunday night at supper, she threw a fit for about 20 minutes before she decided she would eat. Since then there have been a few issues, but mostly she goes right to her seat and sits and waits for her plate. It's a nice change that we can eat peacefully and with out the arguments.

Pregnancy is going well...my feet however look like bear claws, they seem to be swollen from the moment I get up in the morning. My midwife wasn't concerned last week, but I'm interested to see what she will tell me at my appointment next week. I'm so ready to be done but not so ready all at the same time. Most of the not ready is me being unrealistic on what things really are important to get done. I can't wait to meet this little girl!
