Saturday Snapshots

Daddy came home with a load of hay today.

After lunch, his little helpers headed outside with him to help unload.

Charlie did a great job of rolling straps up tight.

Joseph hauled and put away straps.
(...and yes, he does have pink boots on...)

 They all found some mud.

God bless!

My Rock

My rock of a husband brought me a rock today. It made me love him even more.

See the big flat gold-speckled rock in the back...it's mine!

Joe was on a job today helping a farming neighbor pull out some stumps, clean up some rocks and install some drainage tile. He was holding the 3 smaller rocks above in his hands and noticed that he had a small, medium and large one and it reminded him of his little blessings at home. He decided his children would love to get a special rock that their daddy found for them during the day. He pocketed them and decided he should find mama a special rock too. He didn't want to leave me out.

The next rock he picked up...the gold-speckled one.

He was showing the kids the special rock he found just for mama and said..."See, how it looks like gold, I thought it was perfect for mom because she is as precious as gold."

MELT MY HEART!

I am so blessed to have this man!

This man.....

.....I love him!

He makes my heart skip a beat when he walks in the room.

I love him more today than I did yesterday and will love him more tomorrow than I do today.

He is my rock...a steady source of encouragement and my best friend!

Happy Anniversary honey!

Love you!

Multitude Monday

holy experience

“In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.” (Isaiah 12:4)

What a weekend, we were busy busy. Joe told me a "relaxed, having fun" weekend is more work than going to work.....I agree. I think the girls agree too, they were both in bed by 7:30 pm tonight.....early bedtimes in our house.

I seem to lose track of blessings through out the days and week. I use to write them down. I need to go back to that. The following are some of our wonderful gifts from this most recent weekend.....

396. Charlie getting ready for the parade and doing it herself

397. Family fun

398. Sunhats for hot days
399. The ease of graham crackers

400. Mama and her babe
(yes, it was as hot as we look)

401. Cool treats

402. Styling shades
(I had to bribe her with a piece of parade candy to get her to look at me)

403. Family banter

404. Country living
405. Get togethers with great family and great friends

406. Being able to rest amongst the chaos

407. Clear skies
408. Farm fields

409. Sunsets

410. Kitties
411. Comfort in our clutter

412. Little ones wanting their photo taken

413. Raspberry picking and jam making

414. Grandma watching little ones

415. Husband helping to weed and mulch the garden

416. Summer's bounty

417. Busy week ahead...

418. ...lunch with a friend...

419. ...Bible Study with a few friends

420. ...doctor appointment

Have a blessed week!

Easter Day

We began Easter day by attending the sunrise service at church. The girls actually sat through the entire service. We were back home fairly early and just hung outside with the girls.....playing, lounging, and swinging.....before heading to Joe's parents for lunch.

The day was filled with.....

Pretty dresses, messy hair and Charlie dressing herself

More dresses and bonnets

Relaxed after-lunch conversations

More swinging and more bonnets

Cousins

The hunt

Wind-blown hair, blue eyes and chocolate covered lips

Trying new things

Exploring the greening grass

A game of bean bag toss

Friendly competition

Teamwork

.....and worn-out little ones!

God bless!
