Mom: What’s all over your shirt?
Charlie: Dinosaur poop!
Mom: Dinosaur poop huh?
Charlie: Yeah, Maddie has dinosaur poop too.
The things kids come up with! It’s so dang cute!
Turns out it was snot all over her shirt and the beginning of a cold. The rest of the week was spent wiping noses, coughing, and being crabby. I have the same crud, nothing major just sick of blowing my nose. And in the middle of being sick, she has decided she is done napping. We fought both Wednesday and Thursday to get her down for a nap and she won both days…no nap! I didn’t even try today.
Monday Night Pizza Making
We are in the process of getting rid of the diapers. I can’t wait!! Really we should have done it awhile ago, but I was being lazy about it…didn’t want to deal with accidents when we are out and about. I put Charlie in undies about midday Thursday. The first day started pretty well…a few minor accidents and peeing in the toilet a couple of times. A little bit of bribery and a whole lot of praise seemed to do the trick. She got a dollar and got to call her dad for using the toilet the first time. The only major accident was my fault. We were in the car on the way to the bank and stopped about half way there because she said she had to go…and didn’t go…so on the way home she was talking about pee and I thought she was retelling me what had happened earlier not that she needed to go. When we got home and I lifted her out of her carseat, she was soaked. On a side note, carseats are a pain in the butt to pull apart, wash and put back together.
Today started out really bad. She peed on a kitchen chair, the basement carpet, the treadmill, and the kitchen floor…no where near the toilet for the first half of the day. When she finally actual went in the toilet this afternoon, she was so excited and proud of herself. That really seemed to help for the rest of the day. There were no more accidents for the day and she even pooped in the toilet tonight! Yeah Charlie!
Cori had a great night of sleep last night. She was only up once…went to bed and slept for 5 hours, up to nurse and then slept another 5 hours before waking up for the morning. I don’t notice it so much, probably because she is with me all day, but Joe came home last night and thought she looked bigger than that morning. She is wearing 3 to 6 month cloths; definitely 6 months if I have her in cloth diapers (onsies need to be longer). I have been very inconsistent with the cloth diapers, but after numerous blowouts in disposables, we are going to do cloth most of the time from here on out. It seems illogical but she has never had a blowout in a cloth diaper, but seems to all the time in disposables.
We ended the evening tonight with pumpkin carving.
She wasn't too excited about the 'guts'. I ended up gutting both pumpkins.
Cori was so excited about the evenings activites...she couldn't contain herself.
That's funny that Cori slept during Pumpkin carving....I have the same picture...excpet with my baby in my house! :)
ReplyDeleteSophie is in 6 mo clothing and can fit in some 3-6 if they don't have feet. They are growing for sure!
Hey...maybe you'll get an early bed time with zero naps! We do! :)
Have a nice Halloween Holly!
